If there's any truth to this rumor, the bombshell couldn't have been the F&DS adjustment. I tip my hat to the WT for prepping this change for the past few years. It makes sense now why every other article mentioned the F&DS. They were laying the foundation. The ultimate jab and rope-a-dope and by the time the left hook is in print the average JW wont even know it. By the way more JWs than you may realize are aware of this latest understanding, and its really not that big of a deal. Life goes on.

"Emergency KM School?"

post.. talking to an elder yesterday, he stated he was going to km school next week and that it was an "emergency" km school being held all over the country and that all the circuits had to purchase projectors for the school.....but he couldn't say anything else (secret society bs)little does he know the details can be found here on jwn.. any undercover elders know what this is about?.

I've heard grumblings about a KM school for this year, but nothing else, and definately nothing about it being it being needed as the result of an emergency. Funny this is mentioned because just to feel out the waters so to speak a few weeks ago, I asked our School OVerseer if he heard anything just to see what he would say and he was completely unaware.
Something I'm wondering about is beyond the F&DS adjustment in understanding, is there something else major on the way? The F&DS adjustment in hindsight really wasn't that big of a deal to the average JW. If the other thread about elders needing to assist the flock on a certain matter was true, I can't see it being the result of the F&DS change in understanding.

Have Jehovah’s Witnesses leaders gotten the message that parents should be told if a confessed or accused child molester is worshipping with them? Well, yes, but only if the Witnesses branch office determines the individual is a “predator.”
According to a new letter to the elders, dated October 1, 2012, which updates all previous letters regarding child abuse, if the elders think a person who has been known to have sexually abused a child, although seemingly cleaned up his/her life, is a “predator,” the elders must call the Witnesses branch office. If the branch office determines that an individual is to be considered a predator, then two elders are assigned to meet with the parents of minor children in order to provide a warning. Also, the “predator” should be told that parents have been discreetly informed. So, for the most part, the secrecy still remains. In Candace Conti’s case, her molester would never have fit the profile of “predator”; hence, her parents would not have been warned.Something I didn't know about, and maybe it has already been mentioned by Barbara, Randy, or on this message board. The Branch sends out a questionaire form to be completed by the two brothers scheduled to meet with the individual in question. No copies are to be made, and it's kept strictly confidential and I believe either sent back to the branch, or it serves as an outline for discussion when the two brothers discuss matters with the branch on the phone. Maybe someone else knows more about it as it's something I was unfamiliar with.

Just noticed this. That's true Zid, and a good point to bring up, but slavery probably wasn't the forefront issue on the minds of black men in this country during the 50s through the early 70's, no more than it is now. Slavery came up in conversation as it provided a context, the basis for a narative for discussion about an ongoing problem, but it wasn't the main topic. Open and legalized discrimination, getting beat by police or lynched by white mobs with impunity amongst other issues was on the minds of men like my father. I can't tell you how many older black men I've known throughout the years that were in the armed services who were shitted on more than Vietnam vets in this country and as a result have resent about their time in the services and this country. The true supreme irony about what was happening to blacks forty and fifty years ago (still happens today on a lesser extent) was that their white assalants were good church going...........Christians. Christianity as practiced by many whites during those years could legitimately be viewed as the religion practiced by the enemies and oppressors of black people. Hence you heard phrases such as, white devil, cave woman, contempt for a blue eyed blonde Jesus, etc..
A good way to illustrate this is to consider the dynamics of people on this very message board affected by what the JW/WT religion has done to them. Some here have a vehement hatred towards the WT, and to be honest you can't blame them. For some, it led them to atheism, or agnosticism, or for some even a more traditional view of Christ as taught by other Christian denominations. That said, imagine being a black male during the contentious years of the Civil Rights movement and prior, and being persecuted by a white Christian? It's a given that some blacks would fluctuate to a faith that they would see as a polar opposite to white Christianity. Black Islam as taught and practiced by the NOI was probably the most polar opposite available to black males during those years.
